On Tuesday 12th March, Ryan from JWR Renewables came to our school to speak to pupils from 3rd-6th class. Ryan gave a fabulous presentation to the boys and girls on solar energy and sustainability. JWR Renewables were also running a competition to design a best buddy for their company mascot and invited pupils to take part. Many pupils entered from Killeen N.S. but also from many other schools around the country. We were so delighted to get an email over Easter to say that one of our 5th class pupils won the competition! Huge congrats to Abbie Loughrey who won a €50 voucher for herself, a digital graphic image of her mascot in a frame and €500 for her school towards our sustainable energy journey. We are thrilled for Abbie and the Green Team are super impressed. Well done Abbie!
