Final day in Gijón
The boys and girls have been blown away with the kindness they received on their first Erasmus trip.
Today's activities included lessons in school in the morning, followed by a trip to the aquarium and a walk along the promenade in the afternoon.

Day 3 in Gijón
Another super day in Gijón for our students!
The boys and girls got the opportunity to play rugby in an amazing sports arena among 400 other students.

Day 2 in Gijón
Our students in Spain had an action packed day!
They were treated to a tour of the school.
They did a presentation on Ireland and had a music lesson using the ipads.
They were presented with the school t-shirts and hoodies.

Day 1 - Travelling to Gijón, Spain
Our students and teachers arrived in Spain this evening!
This is the 4th mobility of this Erasmus project "BETO" but the first time pupils from Killeen NS have travelled with teachers.
They got a wonderful welcome and we hope they have a fantastic week experiencing school life in Gijón, Spain.

Check out some highlights of day 3 of our Erasmus project "BETO". This stands for our school motto "Better Together" which this little video demonstrates.
The boys and girls enjoyed some GAA with Sonya, drumming with Anthony, music with Mary, art with Barbara and were thrilled to get the opportunity to fed three local pet lambs Thank you to the McNally family for making this happen!
The day ended with the final presentation of certificates.
Our project could not have successful without our amazing host families. We are so grateful to you for hosting a student at primary school level for the very first time.

Erasmus Pupil/Teacher Mobility 2023
Day 2 of our Erasmus project got off to an energetic start!
We were treated to an amazing display of irish dancing by Adam & Hannah. We even got a peak of Adam's trophy for winning 5th in the World Championships Thank you Adam & Hannah and to our past pupil, Shauna for organising this.
Next up was a visit to Croagh Patrick & Murrisk Abbey followed a wonderful afternoon of song, music, dancing and sheep herding on Glenkeen Farm. Thank you to the team at Glenkeen for hosting this fabulous event.

Our Spainish teachers and students were given a warm Irish welcome by hosting families last night as they were collected from the train station.
They were given an even greater welcome this morning in school as all the boys and girls were so eager to meet them.
Day 1 got off to a great start with a variety of activities such as class performances, dance, quiz, soccer and much more.
