In our school, we try to use natural cleaning products where possible. We learned how to make them when we were working on our green flag for water conservation.
All Purpose natural cleaner
Picture
Ingredients
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
A dab of liquid soap
2 cups hot tap water (400ml)

Equipment
Spray bottle
Sponge / rag
Combine the ingredients in a spray bottle and shake until the washing soda has dissolved.
Apply and wipe off with a sponge or rag

Natural window cleaner
Picture
Ingredients:
1/4-1/2 teaspoon eco-friendly liquid detergent (eg. Ecover),
3 tablespoons vinegar,
2 cups water (400ml)
Equipment:
1 cup, 1 spray bottle, 1 teaspoon, 1 Tablespoon, 1 clean dry cloth OR a few sheets clean, dry newspaper
Method
Put all the ingredients into a spray bottle, shake it up a bit, and use as you would a commercial brand. The soap in this recipe is important. It cuts the wax residue from the commercial brands you might have used in the past.

Lip Balm

This gloss is perfect to sooth slightly chapped lips and give you a healthy shine.

Ingredients:
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon almond oil,
1 ½ teaspoons beeswax,
5-10 drops vanilla essence OR other natural essence, such as peppermint or orange.

Equipment
1 bowl, 1 Saucepan of very hot water, 1 teaspoon, 1 tablespoon, small storage containers with lids.

Directions:
Place the bowl over the saucepan of hot water.
Into the bowl put a tablespoon of honey, a tablespoon of almond base oil, and one and a half teaspoons of beeswax.  When the beeswax is melted, remove from heat and add five drops of vanilla essential oil. Stir. Place the pan in a small amount of cold water(do not let the water get in the pan) and stir the contents vigorously for about a minute.Put the mixture in storage containers and let sit for two hours before using. This gloss is best if used within a year.
