Well done to all the boys and girls who performed marvelously for our Christmas concert.
Miss Maher's class opened the show with: We wish you a Merry Christmas Bualadh Bos A Christmas Poem They were followed by Mrs. Grady's class with: Shotgun as Gaeilge Footloose Ms. Kilcoyne's class told the story of The Grinch who Stole Christmas. The boys and girls told the story beautifully and sang An Chéad Nollaig. They performed Merry Christmas Everyone using lámh hand signs and had some dancers performing too. Lastly, the children from 2nd - 6th class played some traditional Irish music to finish the show. Click the link below to watch a snippet of this music. Maith sibh! We were delighted to take part in the "Let's Make it Happen" fundraising campaign which is being ran by Nicole Loughlin. Nicole is in the process of rasing €11,000 to build a school in Malawi, Africa. Nicole came to visit us in Killeen on Monday, the 10th of December. She showed us photos of her work in Malawi and the plans they have to build the post-primary school in March 2019. We all donated on Christmas Jumper Day and we raised over €240! Well done everyone.
On Friday 7th of December, we were treated to a trip to the cinema in Westport to see "The Grinch". We were very excited as we traveled on a double decker bus. We had a fantastic morning!
On Monday 19th of November, Mrs. Grady and Ms. Kilcoyne showed us a presentation of their Erasmus+ trip to Gijón in Northern Spain. We really enjoyed looking at the photos and hearing all about life in school in Spain. They bought us back some yummy treats too!
