The boys and girls worked in pairs to design their very own board game.
Firstly, they brought their favourite board game to school. They had fun playing it but they also spoke to each other about what kind of board game it was and the contents of the particular board game. 
Secondly, they completed lots of research on the different types of board games, the elements of procedural writing and what makes a good board game. 
Thirdly, they designed their first draft of their own board game. They tested the game by playing it together. 
Finally, they completed their final draft which was their own unique board game.
We then invited the junior room to come up to our room to have a gaming hour. It was lots of fun.
