On Wednesday, 17th February, we made a very special journey. We travelled by train to Dublin to see, first hand, some of the sites associated with the Rebellion of 1916. We got on board a 1916 army truck, and accompanied by our knowledgeable guide, Shay, took off around Dublin! Later on in the day, we took in Collins Barracks Museum. Safe to say, the content of our History lessons this week could not be found in any textbook. What a brilliant way to learn! A day we will always remember. Special thanks to Mary and Brige.
