The children had so much fun meeting Santa today. He brought lovely treats for everyone.
It is Nua's birthday next week so the children wanted to send her cards to France where she lives now.
Paul Butler came to the school today and spoke to the children about native Irish trees. Paul also kindly showed the children the correct way to plant young trees. Before the rain arrived the children had great fun competing in the teddy bear race, the egg and spoon race, the welly toss and the 3 legged race.
Over the last few weeks the children participated in a soccer tournament. The four teams, The Cats, The Winners, Soccer 8 and Man City played some super soccer with Ellen's team, The Winners beating Roisin Keating's team The Cats in the final. Well done all. Ellen and Kayla were crowned joint top scorers with Danial winning the Player's Player of the Tournament and Charlie winning the Young Player of the Tournament.
Thank you so much to Johann and Mieke for inviting us for a visit. The children were thrilled to get the chance to see their garden again after missing out last year. The tadpoles were a big hit as was The Apple Lady and of course the ice-cream. We will return for a longer visit in September.
