Erasmus visitors from CEIP San Roque, Murcia, Spain
April 2026
A group of teachers and students from CEIP San Roque Ceuti, Murcia got a very warm welcome today from everyone at Killeen NS. They are with us for 3 days.
Day one kicked off with a whole school assembly, a visit from Dee and Mike McNally with their super cute lambs, a workshop led by author Claire McDonagh and a yoga session on the astro turf.
Day Two was just as fun-filled and action-packed. We spent time rehearsing our set for the upcoming Mol an Óige concert, practising several traditional Irish tunes as well as the well-known song “Killeagh” by Kingfishr.
The middle classes also took part in science experiments, exploring and learning through hands-on activities. We rounded off the day with a drumming workshop with Raf.
The sun was shining on our Spanish friends for their final day in beautiful Mayo. They had a short walk on The Reek, a visit to Murrisk Abbey and The Famine Ship monument and then a lovely lunch with Derek at Murrisk Café.
Safe travels home to Murica :)
