They played a strong Ballycastle team and were four points down at half time, but the boys showed great determination in the second half and came back superbly to win by seven points.

They now go on to the County Final on June 2nd — a fantastic achievement for our small school.

Well done to our singers, dancers and musicians who performed in last night's Mol an Óige concert. Mol an Óige means "praise the youth" and míle buíochas to the Féile Chois Cuain committee who always give the local youth their chance on stage. 

It's great to see such strong numbers from our small school and always lovely to see the children's relaxed, confident style of singing, dancing and playing. 

Well done to all involved.

Our school was lucky enough to be invited to a spectacular event with special guest Sonia O'Sullivan at Westport Athletics Club today.

'Killeen Road Runners' enjoyed a fantastic day out!

A sincere thank you to Westport Athletics Club for hosting such a great Dare to Believe event, and to Sonia for inspiring us, running with us and answering all our questions.

The boys  played four games, drawing two and losing two, each by only a single goal. Once again the boys did themselves, their school and their families very proud.

Special thanks to Lisa and Christina who very kindly gave up their time to bring the boys to Castlebar today.

O D D   S O C K S  to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day.

World Down Syndrome Day was created to celebrate the lives of people with Down Syndrome and to make sure they have the same opportunities and freedoms as everybody else. 

Thank you everybody for helping to make this celebration so special!

Míle buíochas to our school community for your support of Daffodil Day in aid of the Irish Cancer Society. 

One lucky child in each class is going home with an Easter egg today. The Irish Cancer Society also gave us four water bottles to raffle off. 

We also had two lovely teddy bears raffled in each classroom. These cuddly prizes were kindly donated by past pupils Mark and Luke's mum, Eileen.

We had great fun today at school for Seachtain na Gaeilge.

Rinne an Junior Room seó beag dúinn leis an Hocaí Pocaí. Ba é an Hocaí Pocaí is fearr a bhí ann riamh!
That was the best Hocaí Pocaí we ever saw before from the Junior Room and they were very kind and helpful to teach it to the older children and the staff. An-craic. 

Ansin, tháinig na páistí níos sine ar an stáitse leis an Haka Gaelach.
Then it was time for the older children to do the Haka Gaelach for us.

There was plenty of stomping and clapping and fierce faces. Beagánín scanrúil freisin!

Maith sibh a pháistí!

Team 2 acquitted themselves brilliantly against very tough opposition, while Team 1 went on to win the competition and will now progress to the County finals in April.

​The boys were a credit to themselves, their school and their families today. Well done all.
