Using marshmallows and jam the children decorated their pancakes and afterwards got to enjoy eating them.
In art today the children channeled their inner fashion designer and came up with the most amazing creations. Before they worked with the fabric they used their whiteboards and markers to plan their design.
Over the last 4 weeks the children have been blessed to have Caroline teach them how to set dance. They learned how to dance Shoe the Donkey, The St. Bernard Waltz and Schottische.
In art today the children got to express themselves through the use of clay. First we chatted about what they might make, then they learned how to join two pieces of clay together using slip. At the end of the lesson we had snow men, ginger bread men, football posts, cups and tractors. The pieces will be painted next week after they have dried.
All learning went out the window today as soon as the children spotted the snow falling. It doesn't happen often so we went straight out to play before it melted. The children even managed to make the worlds smallest snowman.
The judges had a very difficult time picking a winner today as there was so much amazing talent on display. We had everything from pretend dogs and piano players to dancers and football stars.
Inspired by the story The Snowman the children did a wonderful job creating lots of Christmas themed art over the last few days.
Santa Claus will be here before we know it so the Christmas tree got put up in the junior room today. Our elf got delayed due to a storm in the north but he arrived on December 1st with a letter apologising for his delay.
