This colourful group painting was lots of fun. Ms. Kilcoyne gave each group different instructions. We moved every time we painted something. It was fast and energetic. One of our favourite parts of this lesson was when got the chance throw our paintbrushes like an arrow at the page! One group even did some painting with their eyes closed!
We received the sacrament of Communion on Sunday, the 19th of May. Thank you to everyone who helped us prepare for our special day. Have a read of our poem
"GROW IN LOVE" which we wrote especially for the ceremony.
G is for Gráinne, who loves horse-riding
R is for running, Donncha’s favourite sport
O is for Orán, who loves football
W is for winning, when you’re on John’s team.
I is for Irish, Paddy’s favourite language
N is for nice, as we hear Faith’s singing.
L is for the love, we see in Patrick’s eyes
O is for outstanding, as Seren dances on the stage
V is for victory, when Mark scores a goal
E is for Ella, who loves art most of all.
…..and together they make one amazing team!

We had great fun trying to solve riddles on our Easter egg hunt. Ms. Kilcoyne was very proud when the winning team shared their golden egg with everyone. As one of the children said on the day "Sharing feels nice".
We earned hot chocolate as we filled our jar of compliments two thirds full. Great work!
These elephants turned out fantastic. They took us three weeks to complete as we did an initial sketch first and then added the shading. As part of the process, we all got a chance to have a look at each other's. They are now displayed above our door. We have been learning about Hannibal crossing the Alps in history.
Last Tuesday we did two experiments.
Firstly, we saw how gas is created through a chemical reaction using baking soda and vinegar. The gas had the power to inflate the balloon.
Secondly, we made a volcano using the same ingredients but we added some red food colouring.
Both experiments were great fun!
